The most important sights in Sighisoara are grouped in the upper citadel and can comfortably be seen in a day: the Clock Tower, Citadel Square, Vlad Dracul House, the Covered Staircase and the Church on the Hill. Below is the route we recommend to our guests, from one end to the other.

The essential route, step by step
You start beneath the Clock Tower, climb into Citadel Square and pass Vlad Dracul's House. From there you climb the Covered Staircase to the Church on the Hill.
Along the way you discover the guild towers and the colourful lanes of the citadel, on the UNESCO list since 1999.
How much time you need
The essentials fit into one easy day. If you have more time, add a hike or a day in the fortified villages nearby.

The perfect base: Casa Roșca
All these sights are a short walk from our guesthouse at 48 Zaharia Boiu Street. You stay in peace, set off on foot for the citadel and return in the evening to the garden.
