The Saxon villages and nature
The easiest day is a tour of the fortified villages: Biertan, Viscri or Saschiz. If you want some exercise, climb the Breite Plateau or set off on a hike.
All are close and suit a relaxed day, without leaving early or returning late.
The towns nearby
To the west, Medias is close, with its old Saxon centre. Sibiu and Brasov are a little further, about two hours by car, but they can be done on a long day if you set out in the morning.
