Sighisoara is a town you photograph at every corner: cobbled lanes, pastel façades and medieval towers. You catch the loveliest shots on the Covered Staircase, in Citadel Square, on the walls at sunset and from above, from the Clock Tower — especially early in the morning or in the warm evening light.

The period details of Casa Roșca make a corner just right for a photo.

The classic shots of the citadel

The light coming through the boards of the Covered Staircase makes storybook photos. Citadel Square, with its colourful houses, and the panorama from the Clock Tower are the classic frames.

On the walls, at sunset, you capture the sea of red rooftops in the warmest light of the day.

When the light is best

Early in the morning the streets are empty and the light is soft — ideal for shots without crowds. In the evening, the "golden hour" before sunset bathes the façades in gold. In autumn, the morning mist adds atmosphere.

Look for the details, too: lanterns, old gates, wrought-iron signs and painted doors.

A photogenic corner right at Casa Roșca

Our guesthouse has its own corners to photograph: the flower-filled garden, the terrace and the interiors with period furniture. It's a warm setting, where many guests start their album.
